"MY ROOTS" SCULPTURE EXHIBITION
The cultural association Progetti Futuri presented and organized the exhibition of sculpture on wood "My roots" by the artist Mario Guerra from 22 to 29 October 2017. The exhibition much appreciated by the public had an excellent turnout during all days of the exhibition with a peak of visitors especially on the last day to follow the artist's impromptu who carved a sculpture in front of the audience in the room.
MARIO GUERRA
The sculptor Mario Guerra was born in San Paolo di Civitate in 1955 and has participated in national exhibitions and reviews. Obtaining acknowledgments and prizes of artistic prestige. The material he prefers is olive wood, a vital element of the bond with his land. The figures sculpted by War are linked to the deepest values of the individual and always express their own character through research in highlighting those natural and free lines of the branches and roots, which, carved and smoothed by the author, determine the "movement" of particular feelings and emotions.
